Hey Folks, Carrie here.
It's time to address a few things, mostly where ISI has been and where we plan to go in the future. However, that is going to take a bit of time so go get yourself a drink! I'll wait.
...still waiting.
...waiting.
Alright, enough of that!
Now, as some of you may have noticed, ISI hasn't been very active this year. In fact, we've been almost dead as far as some of you may be concerned. That, however, is very far from the truth. I'm alive and still here, the rest of the ISI team? Not so much.
As some may know from following me on social media, Kitsune and I have decided to go our separate ways both in blogging and in real life. We remain friends but don't anticipate working together as much in the future.. that's about it. As for Alex, she'd been busy with her own life and doesn't have the time anymore. So, as you can see, the ISI team has come down to... just me! I'm still here and I still love you!
...that said, I've also been very busy this year with getting my own life back on track. Living alone and getting my own goals into place has taken up a lot of time, this is also including a new adventure, nursing school. Yes, I've taken on the most insane thing and decided to become an LPN.
So life has been crazy, busy and a real adventure.
The State of InSanity lurks Inside and the Future-
Yes, we WILL remain a theme park and amusement park blog. New and updates may be slow considering school and clinical schedules but with 2017, I am promising to get back on the ball and more out there. Visits may be fewer and travel might be limited but I will endevor to keep things moving in the proper directions!
Also, there will be more little bits added in. Sometimes about real life, sometimes about travel that may not be park related! While I might not have gotten to many of the parks in 2016 due to both life and finances, I did get to take some new and interesting trips!
I adventured out to Chicago in April with friends from online. Now that was an adventure!
Also went out to Minnesota to visit friends now that was also an adventure! Also, I got to prove the work will not, in fact END if I cross the Mississippi river!
As you can see, I'm still here and on the move!
I'm going to start documenting these adventures and travels, which I will be peppering in with Theme Park and Amusement Park News plus some random bits.
Yes.
I am still here and we're going to begin bringing you all new things in 2017! InSanity lurks Inside will rise again!

Cedar Point- The Valravn Mystery
![]() |
| Image from Redeit |
When Cedar Point hinted they where keeping a secret about Valravn, the internet responded in shock.
A local news story hinted the the park still have a few secrets about their newest roller coaster which hadn't yet been made public. Users online quickly checked the webcam and it appears the new ride will come with some kind of tunnel or trench, a themed element to the ride which wasn't hinted at in the original designs. Cedar Point is keeping this new element a close secret but it's obviously under construction as you read this!
So? What can it be?
The quick, easy answer is that it's likely a pass-though building themed to the element of the ride. The truth? We're honestly not sure yet but this is a common design element with roller coasters, which often feature tunnels or trenches to give an added thrill to the attraction!
However, if your read This Piece from Michigan Live, you'll catch a quick clue- Cedar Point has said these is a part of the queue line, something which 'Cedar Point has never done before'. Which leads me to believe that the queue line may pass right thought or beside this structure. By doing such, it would let guests get an additional, up close peek at the ride as the coaster train passes though.
All speculation is abound! Until official word comes from the park, I'm going with this general idea!

Knobels Amusement Resort- Something in the Air for 2015
Something's in the Air at Knoebels Amusement Resort in 2015.
Well with Knoebels finally getting to open their 7 year headache, Flying Turns, in time for the end of the 2013 season. Something new is in the air...
Today on the park's Facebook Page this image appeared. They park states the 4rd generation was sent out during the summer to bring in the next "big thing" for the park in 2015.
What did they find?
Well no one knows for sure right now. However, fans of the park are speculating on everything from the park finally putting in a flood wall to a new roller coaster and possibly a next generation thrill ride. Right now, the park is being quiet on the matter but it'll be interesting to watch thought the 2014 season.
We'll keep our eyes open and ears to the ground, bringing you any updates that drop from Knoebels Amusement Resort!

Universal Orlando Announces.. an Announcement!
Universal Announces.. an Announcement
Holy Shit on a Shingle, Spiderman!
Universal Orlando's Public Relations is finally breaking the mass seal of silence that's been held over the parks new construction projects. This comes months after ground-breaking on several of their new constructions which has been mired in rumors and speculation since the masses got a glimpse of equipment being moved in.
The Big Announcement is November 1st, 2012 at 7:30pm EST and be viewed live from their Facebook page.
However, like most things theme park these are pretty much the worst kept secrets ever. Because people like me are nosy as hell, we snoop and listen to the rumors then look at the trends. We all know exactly what is under construction in Orlando even if some of us (read: ME) are in total denial about it and thus refuse to accept it until forced into said submission by an announcement.
Needless to say, Universal botched this 'secret' less then ten minutes after the count-down clock went up. A few industrious folks took a look at the coding and well.. secret blown!
If you DON'T want to know and wish to be surprised, avoid the picture below! I'd also recommend staying away from Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and any other form of social media if you follow theme park folks because we're all talking about it right now!
