POV of Busch Gardens Williamsburg's Tempesto Released!

Tempesto, Busch Gardens Williamsburg's newest coaster, still has about a week and half before it opens to the pubic on April 25th, but the park has released the first official POV footage from the ride this week.

As you'll see, there really isn't much to this one and yes, the ride does actually only last for 53 seconds. Not much when you think about Apollo's Chariot, which is right next door.

Not really much else to say on this one other than to point you to the video below and we'll probably have our own at some point this year when we visit.

So, without further ado, let's take a ride on Tempesto!

Impulse POV Released as Testing Begins at Knoebels!

The wait is coming to a close, as Knoebels newest, and first all steel coaster, has begun testing! Yesterday, via the park's Facebook page, they announced that the testing phase for Impulse has begun and only a few hours later, video was posted up as well.

It should be noted, that the footage they provided was from a camera mounted on a test car, but they have promised additional footage from the actual trains at a later point. Once they have that up, we'll be sure to share it with you right here. For now? Here's a ride on the newest coaster at Knoebels!

Really curious to see what the lift is like, since that's not featured in this video but the rest of the ride looks great and definitely should be a blast to ride. Not much longer until that date comes, either and with the looks of things around the ride, they should make their opening date without an issue at all.

Stay tuned for more info on Impulse at Knoebels and everywhere else that's building for 2015 right here and be sure to follow along with us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and Facebook for all the latest!

Thunderbird Watch: First Lanch Video and More from Holiday World!

Earlier today (at 2:03pm), Holiday World, released video of the first ever launch of their newest coaster, Thunderbird. The video, shot during the very first test run is just a teaser though. They only gave us a 30 second clip and even then, some of that is shortened! Even then, it is still video of the first ever launched B&M coaster in the world, that's gotta count for something, right?

That said, we do get a POV look and a side angle shot, both pretty awesome. We want more, but we'll have to wait for the official, full length, POV from Holiday World in the future. Hopefully none of us will have to wait too long for that! For now, we can definitely get a sense of the speed that the launch has just how fast 0-60 in 3.5 seconds really is as you race up the massive 140ft Immelman.

So, enough talking, let's get to the video!

But, that's not all. We've gotten a few pictures from the test run earlier today and a couple more that show off the station house and theming as well!

Stay tuned for more out of Holiday World and Thunderbird as opening day keeps creeping forward by follow us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and Facebook for all the latest!

First Fury 325 On Ride POV Released!

Okay, it seems like just a couple of hours ago we were talking about the first test run from Fury 325 at Carowinds, but here we go again!

This time, the folks at Carowinds have unveiled the video from that first ever run and luckily for all of us, they had a camera onboard to record the insanity of it all. So, I'm not gonna talk long on this one, as you can just click on the Fury 325 logo on the left of the page for the updates.

Let's get on with the video!

Holy crap that looks incredible! One thing you'll notice is that there isn't a single brake section throughout the entire course of the ride. This thing is going to be insane to experience and riding at night? Oh, I can only imagine.

Yep, it's official. We have Fury Fever here at ISI! Stay tuned here or follow us on Twitter, Google+, Tumblr and Facebook for all the latest out of Carowinds and their newest, world record breaking coaster, Fury 325!

Official POV from ALTAIR at Italy's Cinecitta World

Italy's newest theme park, Cinecitta' World, opened to the media not long ago and will be opening to the public on July 24th.

That said, there's already some very interesting footage from one of their centerpiece attractions. Their hot off the line Intamin 10 inversion coaster, ALTAIR. Parksmania obtained a front of the train POV showing future visitors just what they can expect and it looks nothing short of spectacular.

The 108.3' tall coaster features 10 different inversions spread out over it's 2,870ft of track. Riders will hit speeds of around 52mph as they slam through a loop, cobra roll, double corkscrew, heartline roll and then go for a spin through the quad heartline at the tail end. It's compact size means there's no time for breathing on this one.

So, without further ado, here's your first look at ALTAIR!

Also, have to say, the ride building for this one is completely insane as well. I mean just look at that, it's like something out of a Sci-Fi flick or video game. Loving the detail and overall look of this, can see a good view of what the overall building looks like from the image taken below by Theme Parks Italia.

Six Flags Great America Confirms Opening Date for Goliath!

Six Flags Great America has confirmed that their newest monster of a coaster, Goliath, will be finally opening to the public this coming Thursday, June 19th. Yep, that's right, in just a few days riders will at last be able to experience the newest creation from Rocky Mountain Coasters.

Breaking 3 world records, Goliath is the park's 13th coaster and features a ton of unique elements never before seen on a wooden coaster. The ride features three over-banked turns, dive loop, a zero-G stall, a negative G stall, and two tunnels. Top that off with the fact that it's the tallest, steepest and fastest wooden coaster in the world and you've got one helluva combination there!

Now, if you're curious as to what it's like to ride this world record breaking coaster, here's the official POV from Six Flags Great America!

Kentucky Kingdom- POV of Lightning Run

Chance Rides posts POV of Lightning Run Coaster at Kentucky Kingdom.

Chance Rides has posted up a new POV. One of the newest roller coaster to come to Kentucky Kingdom. Opening in just 9 days after many years closed, Kentucky Kingdom has added in Lightning Run as part of their multiple year plan to rebuild the park which was left devastated by Six Flags.

While it may not be a record breaking, it looks like a pretty great coaster! It's also nice to see a park re-open after so many issues.

POV of Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom!

It's been no secret that the long awaited Seven Dwarfs Mine Train attraction, part of the Magic Kingdom Fantasy Land expansion, has been testing as of late. They were even shooting a commercial just the other week. However, aside from some video of the trains running where we could see them, we never got a chance to see what the ride was really all about.

Well, the wait is over!

The folks over at Attractions Magazine have gotten their hands on full, uncut, on ride POV video that shows the entire ride with all of it's show elements. The video below has both the front view and back view included in it and it's definitely worth checking out. So, let's take a look at what Disney has taken three years to put together for us, shall we?

There's definitely some interesting elements going on and the ride itself seems more a dark ride/roller coaster hyrbid. Which, is an interesting mix of things to say the least, and the swinging action from the cars is definitely a cool feature too. The theming around the track area and queue looks great too, but something seems off.

First Look and POV of Liseberg's Newest Coaster - Helix!

Today is Pressday at Liseberg amusement park in Gothenburg, Sweden and they're officially unveiling the park's largest investment to date, Helix. The park's 4th coaster, built by Germany's Mack Rides, is the largest and fastest to date. By this time, the first riders have already experienced the intensity that this monster coaster has to offer. In just three days, April 26th, the park will be fully open and the general public will get to experience the insanity that is Helix first hand.

Riders will reach speeds of 100km/h (62mph) on this multiple launch coaster and careen through seven inversions and over 3/4 of a mile of track during their 2min 10sec ride. It may not be the fastest, nor the biggest, but it's layout and location within the park should make for one memorable ride!

Seriously, this thing looks mental and intense as hell. One of these days we'll get over there to ride this, one day.

So, without further ado, here's the front seat POV for Liseberg's newest!

Not enough for ya? Here's what you can expect during a night ride!
