The Travel Channel's Insane Coaster Wars is Back With a New Season, Sunday June 29th!

Once again The Travel Channel is bringing back Insane Coaster Wars: World Domination. The 3rd season for the show will air on Sunday, June 29th at 7pm and 7:30pm.

Yep, that's right, a back to back showing to kick off the new season of the popular series that pits various types of coasters against each other each week. This year's series features coasters from the US, Canada, Japan, Spain and many others as they try to figure out which enthusiasts and thrill seekers rank the best.

Since they're kicking off with a double episode (and every weekend after that is the same), let's take a little sneak peek at what this season has in store for coaster and theme park lovers. First up, the list of coasters that will be featured in first two episodes:

Iron Rattler at Six Flags Fiesta Texas
Gravity Max at Taiwan's Lihpao Land Discovery World
Mamba at Missouri's Worlds of Fun
Superman: Ride of Steel at Spain's Parque War
Outlaw Run at Missouri's Silver Dollar City
Avalancha at Guatemala's Xetulul
Phantom’s Revenge at Pennsylvania's Kennywood
Insane Speed at Taiwan's Janfusun Fancyworld

And now for a quick look at the preview that The Travel Channel put out the other week:

Want to know what other coasters will be featured on this year's show? Well check out the complete line up after the jump!

Park Review- Canada's Wonderland

Park Review- Canada's Wonderland

Last season, Canada's Wonderland shocked and surprised us, we had no idea of the hidden treasure sitting north of Toronto. Now that we knew, the park made it to the top of our "Must Visit Again" list.

Needless to say, the second time around just confirmed the fact that this park is the hidden jewel of the Cedar Fair company.

Day: Monday
Date: May 26th, 2014
Weather: Sunny and Warm
Overall Rating: Excellent
Coaster Baiting: Excellent
Overall Opinion: Shut Up and Visit.
Website: Canada's Wonderland
Review Team: Myself, +Kitsune Hazard and +Alexandra F

**NOTE: We where invited by Canada's Wonderland to review the park as well as their newest attraction, Wonder Mountain's Guardian. This has in no way effected our review or opinion.**

Honestly, Canada's Wonderland is simply a beautiful amusement park with some heavy themed elements. While I hesitate to call it a 'theme park' it's very close since so many of there rides follow the areas which they've been planned in. This year we arrived on a lovely spring morning, much warmer then our previous years visit, as this seemed to be the first fully wonderful weather weekend of the Spring.

Kennywood Park- Upgrading Rides

Kennywood Park is Upgrading two of their Coasters.

Finally, some good news from Kennywood that doesn't involve a chain brand restaurant or notes on how far Parques Reunidos has let things slide.

In 2014 Kennywood will be giving upgrades to two of their roller coasters. "Phantoms Revenge" will finally be receiving new fiberglass cars, giving the coaster trains an updated look. Hopefully they'll also be replacing the woeful and mostly painful lap-bars on the ride also.

"Thunderbolt" is also getting an upgrade that isn't really an upgrade, really it's a return to the classic look of the coaster. The trains on Thunderbolt will once again have their headlights! The headlights on the iconic roller coasters cars will be working once again for the 2014 season, replaced with high powered LED's.
