Tempesto, Busch Gardens Williamsburg's newest coaster, still has about a week and half before it opens to the pubic on April 25th, but the park has released the first official POV footage from the ride this week.
As you'll see, there really isn't much to this one and yes, the ride does actually only last for 53 seconds. Not much when you think about Apollo's Chariot, which is right next door.
Not really much else to say on this one other than to point you to the video below and we'll probably have our own at some point this year when we visit.

Well, not too long after announcing the new countries for this year's Food & Wine Festival, Busch Gardens Williamsburg released the menus for this year's event that runs on weekends (Friday-Sunday) from May 22nd thru June 28th. However, we don't quite have everything, as East Asia and The French Quarter haven't been updated with their offerings as of this writing, so stay tuned for those.
As said before, pretty much the same line up is returning from last year, with the exception of Belgium, since that's been axed. From what I can gather, the menu really hasn't changed up that much from the returning countries either. Not that it's a bad thing, you can check out what we thought of things from last year, and if feeling frisky, our 2013 review. Now there are some differences and some things that look really interesting to try, but so far it's looking par for the course.
We've had nearly everything that they've offered since we've been attending the event since it's innagural year back in 2013. Some of the things surprised and some met our expectations perfectly. It's always an interesting experience no matter how you slice it. So, again, since not much has changed, we can give a little more insight to the offerings and hope that you find them helpful if you go before our official review is out later this year.
So, that all said, let's get on with looking at what the park will be offering for the 2015 Food & Wine Festival. This year has a total of 14 countries, but two still a mystery, here's the 12 that we do know of! First up? The American Southwest.
Well, construction is moving ahead more and more with each day at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Their newest coaster still hasn't been announced by the park, but it's definitely impossible to hide that something is coming.
We've known for quite a while just what the newest addition to the park will look like and be, so it's a little weird they haven't announced anything by now.
That said, thanks to a ton of folks out there, there's a whole slew of video and construction of what is to believed as either Tempesto or Diavolo. First up, a little video look from the folks at In The Loop.
It really is hard to figure out why the park hasn't said anything as it's painfully obvious they're building something and it was extremely easy to see during their Christmas Town event. Who exactly do they think they're going to surprise with this?

Well, this is something that I do over on my own site, but I figured that this year's Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens Williamsburg was deserving of one as well! Not only does this year's event feature a couple of new areas of the world to sample food from, but the folks at Busch Gardens have decided to make it last a couple of weekends longer too. This year's event starts May 23rd and runs every Friday-Sunday through June 29th. That's a win for everyone right there.
The event features some amazing food and drinks from around the world, but also things like the Art of Food, Wine on the Rhine cruises and other special events throughout the run that make it truly something that nearly everyone that enjoys food can have fun with. If you can't, then there's probably something wrong with you. There's even insider tours that take you behind the scenes to show off how it's all put together and even more intimate wine tasting sessions as well.
Now, last year we attended the first annual Food & Wine Festival at Busch Gardens and have to say that we were extremely surprised and loved everything that we got a chance to try over the course of a weekend. Check out our review from last year if you want some suggestions for this year too, but the fact that they've added even more for this year is really great to see and definitely hoping this one sticks around for a long time.
So, without further ado, here's the list of everything that's new and everything that's coming for 2014. First up? Let's see what the new areas have in store for everyone.
Coming from the all knowing minds over at BGW Fans (seriously, they know everything and are damn friendly folks)- we now have reports that the water flume ride, Le Scoot, will be undergoing a massive refurbishment of it's fiberglass over the winter season.
The sections are being removed and trucked out of the park, it's unclear right now if the sections are being replaced with new or just being refinished. Le Scoot is one of the original rides to Busch Gardens Williamsburg which opened in 1975. It is also unclear at the moment if the attractions many special effects will also be receiving upgrades in possible preparation for the parks 40th anniversary in 2015.

Well the 2014 project for Water Country USA in Williamsburg, Virginia has been reviled, finally.
A massive new waterslide will grace the park for next season. The well leaked plans for the ProSlide have been going around the internet for a few weeks now, as always the awesome folks at BGW Fans are on the ball again! A more devoted bunch of theme park stalkers than myself (shocking, I know), these people always hit the money.
The ride will have the clover shaped tubes and will feature two major elements- The "wave" and The "funnel" with an over ride length of 552 feet and said to give you a 'weightless experience'.
The park states the following about the ride: True to its name, this mega-slide promises to deliver an action-packed
adventure. Thanks to a unique combination of high-adrenaline elements,
there’s nothing like Colossal Curl in North America. The ride starts
with a funnel feature, which will swish and swirl guests before whisking
them through the ride’s enclosed colorful tubes on their way to a wave
element that hurtles them high above the park.

It's rather hard to see inside of the ride building, but it gives you a good idea of what we're all going to expeirence and hopefully love as the Big Bad Wolfs replacement.
It's finally opening week for the long awaited replacement of Big Bag Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Verbolten is now in it's opening week with an amazing show of coaster awesomeness!
Personally, I can't wait till my trip down to BGW this summer to check out this ground-breaking ride.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has announced the opening date of Vertbolten!
It's May 18th. I suggest everyone get ready to ride, this is one of the more promising coasters with unique elements to open in years!
The coaster is listed as a "High Thrill" attraction with a height requirement of 48".
Wow, I've been very productive today.
I've been missing a lot of updates lately, so I've got plenty of things I've been needing to get posted up here. In line with that thought, I've got another little piece of goodies for you today.
No Fear, This is GOOD news for once!
Verbolten, the new coaster at Busch Gardens Williamsburg is making plenty of progress to open for the 2012 theme park season. Verbolten is the new coaster which will replaced the much beloved Big Bad Wolf, while not anything near our beloved Wolfie, has lots of interesting potential!
Lately a new "Sneak Peek" trailer is out for the ride. Personally I did a completel "Fan Girl SQUEAL" when I saw it and have many high hope for the ride. So without me babbling more, I've added the video for everyone to enjoy!
Not much is known really about Verbolten and what elements the ride is going to include other then a rather large "ride building" and some very interesting plans. If you hope over to Theme Park Review one fan has many pictures of the elements which will be enclosed within the show building. There is also the "Drop Element" which has been a huge and interesting piece many of us can't wait for.
