 Disney Parks- Star Wars Land Likely Delayed?

 New rumor circling today, regarding the much rumored 'Star Wars Land' which may show up at Disney Hollywood Studioes as well as other Disney Parks.

 Rumors have been going around since this one broke the surface, with fans and fanatics going bonkers in regards to the idea. Some love it, others hate it. Well, it looks like we're all going to be waiting a while longer before hearing anything more concrete on the matter.

 With new movies being released, we'll likely have to wait until those are underway. On top of the fact another blog (Disney and More) believe that the final update of Star Tours will be Disneyland Paris but not until 2016.  They make some valid points, we'll likely not see a full 'land' coming until this point due to updating the current rides. When you toss out the idea that Disney World, the most likely park to receive a new 'Star Wars Land' first, is still in the middle of working on AvatarLand.. it's unlikely that they'll take on two massive construction projects at once.

 So, we can rest easy (or upset) for a while. We likely won't be seeing changes or announcements for some time!

Disneyland Paris- Ratatouille Open with POV

Disneyland Paris- Ratatouille Open and POV

 Disneyland Paris has finally opened their newest attraction- Ratatouille.
 Working of the trackless system, this new ride has been in production for years and added a large themed area to the struggling park. Overall, from the POV video the ride looks to be highly detailed and fun! More of what we've come to expect from the Disney brand.

Disneyland Paris- New Teaser Video for "Ratatouille" Ride

Disney Studios Paris released New Teaser for upcoming "Ratatouille" Ride.




Disneyland Paris has been working on their newest attraction- a ride based off the Disney/Pixar movie "Ratatouille". Which will feature guests shrinking down the the size of Remy and a following adventure. Not many details are known about the attraction currently but this new teaser video looks rather promising!

Good and Bad News for Disneyland Paris

 Both Good and Bad News from Disneyland Paris this week. 

The Bad:

The park has seen a decline of over 1 million people and declining hotel bookings in the 2013 fiscal year. This goes in hand with the economic problems in France as well as Southern Europe.  However, this may not impact the parks badly as with this decline they have seen higher spending and longer stays from their guests.

The Good:
In 2014 the newest addition to the park, Ratatouille will open. This is expected to drive up attendance for at least a year or two. In addition to this Disney has stated they will be spending $600 million in both maintenance and development.  This come afters a large public outcry about the overall shabby state of the parks, so while many disagreed with the "Save Disneyland Paris" movement it seems to have done some good!

Disneyland Paris- Accident on Pirates of the Caribbean

  Pirates of the Caribbean is an iconic ride found at every Disney Park across the globe.  However, this is news we don't much enjoy reporting.

 On October 31st, Halloween Day a boy was injured at Disneyland Paris. Having somehow fallen off their Pirates of the Caribbean attraction while riding. During his fall he was struck by an oncoming boat and pinned between the boat and the ride platform. It's unknown how the boy fell or what other events happened at the time of the accident.

 Reports state the boy "leaned back and fell off the boat" but personally, I'm finding that a bit hard to believe. I've ridden the Disney World version of Pirates several thousand times in my life and have enjoyed leaning back on the backs. Never once, even as a child, could I have fallen out without doing something stupid.

 Granted, the boats at Disneyland Paris appear slightly different from those of Disney World but I still have a rather hard time believing this story.

 Either way, we're sorry a child was injured. According to reports the five year old boy, Iban, is fighting for his life in a Paris hospital.  The UK Mail Online goes on to point out the various injuries and accidents which have happened at Disneyland Paris since it's opening.

 The Vice President of the EuroDisney group, Julien Kaufman stated the park is doing everything in it's power to 'work out what happened'. This makes me wonder why they simply didn't review the ride footage from the accident? At this time, the ride is now closed pending further investigation.

Disneyland Paris- The Disgrace of Disney

 Recently it was brought to my attention about the disgraceful shape of Disneyland Paris. I've heard the grumbling over the years that the resort was going downhill but never paid it much mind for a few reasons. I've never gotten the chance to travel there myself nor have I had any real interest in visiting France at all (I even tend to by-pass it at World Showcase). However, I've recently seen pictures that show the blatant disrepair and completely shabby state of the park, it shocked me.

  Now, if you know anything about me I'm normally the first one to point at Epcot and raise a stink about getting that fixed. For the moment, I'm going to put my beloved Epcot Center and World Showcase aside because this is a problem just as bad and it needs to be addressed. People need to know about it.
